A Road to Somewhere

Hmmm… I have mixed feelings about this one. On one hand, I really like how Margo’s face came out - I wanted to draw a strong emotion for a change and, considering its my first try, I don’t find it that bad. On the other hand, I absolutely HATE the lineart. OTL I found this fineliner lying around - the thing is probably old as sin - and, even though I hadn’t used one in ages, decided to give it a try. SIGH.

Well, I take some small comfort in the fact that I captured a part of Margo’s character. :> She is not a cry-baby by any standards, but she is not the type to keep her feelings hidden, and is not ashamed to cry either. I’ve always wanted to draw her crying her heart out, like really, really bawling long and loud. xD

Ah, there is something quite beautiful about tears. =v=

Oh god, another one. XD I’ve been doodling a lot lately, even though I am never happy with the result. :/ Maybe I should just accept the simple fact that I just CAN’T DRAW. XD But I like drawing so much…I really can’t help it. XD

Anyway, colouring this was SUCH a pain…I really miss Copics some times…or even my crappy tablet which broke ages ago. :C Colouring with a mouse is just nerve-wrecking. >_>

Anyway, these are supposed to be my OCs but in a more retro-inspired form. I was toying with the idea of putting them in a world heavily influenced by the 1920s, but with modern twists. Not very sure about it now…

In any case, here they are. From left to right:

Leon - since he is a bit of an arrogant asshole, I figured an ace pilot would suit him well.  XD

Margarita - pseudo-flapper. :P

Chester - er…a bum? XD Or some kind of a musician?

The drawing of Margarita is a bit older - I drew it almost exactly a year ago, and decided right then and there that I should draw Leon on the sheet opposite her. I can’t believe it took me a year to actually sit down and do it. XD

Chesterrrr. He is one of my OCs. Probably the nicest male one. The other ones are all assholes for some reason. :V

Anyway, I drew this with a pencil on an A4 piece of paper but cropped it since it’s mostly doodles, really.
I did it mainly to de-stress but I kinda like how Chezz came out. :D

I couldn’t decide which one is better so I stuck all 3 together. *shrug*

Hmmm… I’ve uploaded this post-it note doodle before, then deleted it and now I’m uploading it again. *shrug* It seems I have a love-hate relationship with it. XD On one hand, it’s kinda crappy looking but on the other so is everything else I draw XD I think I have somehow managed to capture a tiny bit of Leon and Margarita’s personalities in it. :> So what the hell…let it stay. XD

BTW… the more I look at Margot’s lips, the more she reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer. WTF?! D:> Nuuuuuu

A little card I drew for one of my bestestest friends, lltheportmanteau. <333 They’re supposed to be Kurt and Blaine (Chris Colfer and Darren Criss) from Glee who happen to be her favourite couple (to put it mildly XD).

I’ve never seen Glee, so  I had to google those guys to find out more about them, which was fun. :) Glee has some of the most awesome, kickass fanbases - it’s up there in the top 3 with Homestuck and Hetalia, I’m telling ya. Those guys are craaaazy. :DDD

I used a photo as a reference (It’s such a cute photo, I’m sure people have seen it floating around the net) but I didn’t really manage to get them look like the real thing, partly because the card was pretty tiny, partly because it’s supposed to be in comic style, and partly because I’m a crap artist. *shrug* XDD
In any case, I tried to fix it a bit in Photoshop and here it is. :D

BTW, I am totally starting to develop a crush on the dark haired guy…even though he looks kinda short which is a total deal breaker for me. :D In any case, he reminds me of this dude I used to fancy back in my salad high school days, lltheportmanteau knows whom I mean. (Nudge nudge, know whatahmean, say no more, say no more. XDD) I probably spoiled him a little bit for her by writing this. Haw haw haw.

These are the last gift doodles. C: The characters belong to my friend Luise. I drew them on the writing paper I used for her letter. ^^ I hadn’t drawn in manga style for a looong time, so I had a lot of fun!! I especially enjoyed drawing the girl with the yukata. >w< I used references for some of the poses (even though they are full of mistakes |D”).

Another gift I did for a friend at DA, a fanart of her Sailor Moon doujinshi Princess Ninako. :)
I had a lot of fun drawing this!! I used to be totally obsessed with Sailor Moon as a kid and Seiya (the black haired guy) was my favourite character ever!! Needless to say, drawing him with his adorable daughter Ninako was a real treat. :3 Plus, I love the colour of her hair. <3 
The colouring is kinda crappy. I was never much good at digital colouring and since my tablet broke I had to do it with my mouse. x_x

To be honest, I have mixed feelings about it. =__=; I mean I like how his face came out on one hand, but he looks nothing like Aisu on the other. ;_;

For some reason I prefer the sketch. .u. His eyes look more expressive, I think. Urgh. I spent way too long on it and it ended up looking so…static. ._. I need to learn to draw fluid, dynamic images. Most of my figures look like statues.
